Merck & Co. recalled certain lots of two of its pediatric vaccines due to potential bacterial contamination. In December, the company announced the recall of 11 lots of its PedvaxHIB (Haemophilus b conjugate vaccine [meningococcal protein conjugate]) vaccine for H influenzae type b (Hib), and two lots of a combination Hib and hepatitis B vaccine, Comvax (Haemophilus b conjugate [meningococcal protein conjugate]).
